Meet our Chef
Jesse Keck
Head Chef, Antlers Inn Restaurant
Jesse Keck is a native of Tioga county and is a bit of a prodigy, starting his restaurant career when he was 16 as a dishwasher in Wellsboro PA.
Keck's humble beginnings did not last long as those around him quickly discovered his gift for cooking. His interest grew into a passion and Jesse accelerated the mentoring that he received from some of the area's finest chefs by devouring every cooking resource that he could find.
Within a few years Keck quickly moved up through the cooking ranks of some of the area's finest restaurants being appointed Head Chef before the age of 20.
Keck recently said, "When I saw this place, I knew I wanted to work here. Sandi's vision for the new Antlers was inspiring and she was willing to give me incredible latitude."
Sandi recently said about Keck, "Jesse is an amazing young man. He is a perfectionist with incredible culinary and organizational skills. Our menu is better than ever. He continually raises the bar for all of us."
Keck continued, "I'm a stickler for getting the fundamentals right. It all starts by selecting nothing but the finest, freshest ingredients. Neither Sandi or I will compromise in this area. This is very important when your main entrée selections are 'Big Game' and 'Of the Sea'. People really seem to notice and appreciate the uncompromising care that we take in preparing and presenting their food."
Chef Keck continues to enjoy introducing new items and preparing a wide variety of dishes while he strives to provide his guests with that unmistakable rustic flair for which the Antlers has become famous.
